The 2006 tragedy in Lebanon caused
tremendous damage and took innocent
lives. Children especially suffered. A third of
the fatalities in the war were minors.
UNICEF is working to help heal children's
physical and emotional scars, as well as
raise awareness about the dangers of
unexploded bombs.

It is our responsibility to help those in need.

I created this painting to help in the
humanitarian relief promoting the idea of
hope for Lebanon and its people. Inspired
from the song “Ya Beirut Sitt Al Dunia”
(Beirut, Lady of the World), written by
Syrian poet Nizar Qabbani and sung by
world re-knowned Lebanese singer,
Majdah Al-Roumi. The verse selected from
this beautiful song speaks of rising from
under the rubble like the almond flowers in
April ...You can help by purchasing the
Lebanon Print in which
100% of the print
price will be donated to UNICEF, the
United Nations Children’s Fund.

This original painting has recently been
acquired by the Arab American Museum in
Dearborn, Michigan for their permanent
collection.
