"In Her Eyes, Exile Became Home" - Mahmoud Darwish
Darwish spent his life in exile, displaced from his Palestinian homeland. On the surface, the line suggests that through someone’s eyes; through love, recognition, or tenderness, the pain of exile found a place to belong. “Exile” is no longer just separation from homeland; it becomes emotionally survivable because another person becomes a refuge.
Love as homeland
The beloved becomes a place of safety, familiarity, and return. Home is no longer geography, it is emotional connection.
Designed with Hibrawi's calligraphy script, the Arabic word حب (hubb / love) scattered in the background. Love turns displacement into belonging.
